Forefoot Pain

The big toe is deviated sideways towards the lesser toes , causing a loss of movement in the altered joint and often secondary deformities of the lesser toes as they take some of the force that the big toe can no longer take. Treatment can be to redirect the force back to the big toe or away from it (depending on the health of the joint), to splint the toe back to a straight position, or to purchase footwear that doesn’t put pressure on the joint. In some cases if conservative treatment fails, the joint may require surgical correction.
